What began as the “Walk for Jewish Survival” in 1970 has become UJA’s Walk with Israel—transforming solidarity into action by raising vital funds for Israelis in need.
With the current war in the Middle East, it’s vital our community comes together again to help in these moments of crisis and continued rebuilding.
Our fundraising goal of $780,000 represents the 78 years Israel has been an official state—a celebration of resilience, continuity, and a message to Israelis that we stand with them.

SUPPORT REAL PEOPLE
There’s a reason a donation is often referred to as a gift. When you give to the Walk with Israel, your generosity is tangible, immediate, and transformative.
$378
provides three Israeli children with special needs a month’s worth of educational enrichment.
$420
covers seven hours of mental health counselling at the Sderot Resilience Center.
$630
offers seven therapeutic sessions for vulnerable youth and trauma survivors.
$840
provides relief for Israelis affected by terrorism through the Fund for Victims of Terror.
For decades, UJA has partnered with three cities in Israel, providing resources, support, and emergency aid to their citizens. This is especially important now as all three cities and their residents are affected by the current conflict in different ways.
SDEROT
Known for its resilience and rich culture, Sderot is one of the only evacuated communities after October 7th that actually grew its population.

Knowing that tens of thousands of Torontonians stand by us, rally together with us, and show their love is truly heartwarming. We know that they will continue to stand with us as we return, rebuild, and go from strength to strength together.
— Alon Davidi, Mayor of Sderot
EILAT/EILOT
Eilat/Eilot has become a symbol of national solidarity, opening its doors to displaced families and mobilizing residents, businesses, and volunteers to help rebuild communities.

Your words of solidarity and care mean a great deal and truly touched me. The friendship and partnership between Eilat and Toronto are very precious to us, and your support gives us strength as we face the challenges ahead.
— Eli Lankri, Mayor of Eilat
BAT YAM
Even under fire, Bat Yam has become a model of urban resilience, where the entire community mobilizes to support seniors, families, and evacuees during repeated security escalations.

The support and assistance of the Toronto Jewish community is critical to the residents of Bat Yam. Our city is one of the largest in Israel but includes many residents who are on the margins of society. Knowing that there is someone on the other side of the world who believes in them—who wants to invest in them—makes them believe in themselves.
— Tzvika Brot, Mayor of Bat Yam
The Walk with Israel is more than a gathering. It is a statement.
It says that we are still here and we are not alone.
