UJA'S WALK WITH ISAREL x JCC PRIZE PACK CONTEST

1.    Contest Period

 

The UJA’s Walk with Israel x JCC Prize Pack (the “Contest”) is open from May 11, 2026, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) ends on June 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto (the “Sponsor” or “UJA”), which shall be final and binding, without right of appeal, in all matters relating to this Contest and the awarding of the prize(s), including without limitation eligibility and/or disqualification of entries.

 

 

2.    Eligibility

 

The Contest is only open to legal residents of Ontario (the “Entrant”). Excluded from eligibility are the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of Sponsor, any Contest judges, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the "Promotion Entities"), and members of the immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouses, regardless of where they live) or households (whether or not related) of such officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives.

 

 

3.    How to Enter

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. There are two (2) ways to enter the Contest (each, an “Entry” and collectively, the “Entries”):

 

Fundraisers: Internet access required. To receive one (1) entry, you must raise C$1,078 of peer donations for UJA’s Walk with Israel on your personal fundraising page by the end of the Contest Period. For greater certainty, any amounts contributed by the Entrant to his or her own tally will not be included in calculating the required entry threshold. All peer donations received on your personal fundraising page must be verified and confirmed by Sponsor during the Contest Period to be valid for the purposes of this Contest. Mail In Entry (No Registration, Fundraising, or Donation Necessary) (“No Purchase Entry”): To obtain an Entry or Entries in the Contest without completing a Registration and/or without fundraising or making a donation and/or without making an Instagram post, print your first name, last name, telephone number, complete mailing address (including postal code), email address, age and signature on a plain white piece of paper and mail it along with a fifty (50) word or more unique and original essay (the ‘Essay”) on the importance of UJA’s Walk with Israel. The No Purchase Entry must be mailed to:

ATTENTION: FUNDRAISING CONTEST

 

Only one (1) essay per envelope is permitted (the “Submission”). Each No Purchase Entry will be given one (1) Entry (as defined below) to the Contest. One No Purchase Entry will be given for each original essay in a Submission that meets the requirements outlined below. For the avoidance of doubt, duplicate essays by the same Entrant will not be given additional No Purchase Entries. No Purchase Entries must be post-marked and received by the Sponsor at the above address before 11:59 p.m. EST on June 7, 2026. The Sponsor takes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed No Purchase Entries. Essays that are not an original creation of the Entrant submitting it, or which are illegal, defamatory or in any way obscene, all as determined solely by the Sponsor, will be disqualified.

 

To be considered an eligible No Purchase Entry, all content and materials associated with your Submission must: (i) be submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules during the applicable Contest Period; (ii) include all required components and materials noted above; and (iii) comply with these Official Rules, including, but not limited to, the General Terms and Conditions listed below for each Prize (as defined below), all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. By participating in this Contest, including, without limitation, by submitting a No Purchase Entry, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Official Rules.

 

By entering the Contest, each Entrant agrees that their No Purchase Entry complies with the Content Restrictions, as defined below, and that the Sponsor may choose to disqualify an Entrant from the Contest if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the No Purchase Entry fails to comply with the following restrictions (collectively, the “Content Restrictions”):

 

a)    written submissions and essays (each, a “Creative Work”) must not be illegal, defamatory, hateful or in any way obscene, or disparage Sponsor, or any other person or party;

b)    the Submission (including any Creative Work) must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations of the Province of Ontario or that violates or infringes any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other intellectual property rights; and

c)    the Submission (including any Creative Work) must not be inconsistent with the image and values of the Sponsor or contrary to the purpose of the Contest.

 

By entering, each Entrant warrants and represents the following with respect to the Submission:

a)    that they are the sole and exclusive owner of any Creative Work forming part of the Submission;

b)    Creative Work must be an original creation of the Entrant;

c)    the Submission (including any Creative Work) will not infringe on any rights of any third parties; and

d)    any third parties appearing in the Creative Work have given Entrant appropriate consent to be photographed and used as permitted herein. The Sponsor reserves the right to request releases from any third parties appearing in any Creative Work at any time. Failure to produce third party releases upon the Sponsor’s request may result in disqualification, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.

 

All Mail-In Entries shall become the property of the Sponsor and none shall be returned.

 

Each Entrant must use a unique email address; duplication may result in disqualification. There is a maximum of one (1) entry you can receive.

 

4.    Entry Requirements


A maximum of one (1) entry per Entrant is allowed during the Contest Period, regardless of the method of entry.

 

If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to:

 

a)    obtain more than the maximum allowable number of Entries during the Contest Period; or

b)    use (or attempt to use) multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or disrupt this Contest,

 

then he/she may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

 

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) for the purposes of verifying an Eligible Participant’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; for the purposes of verifying the eligibility or legitimacy of an Entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; or for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Official Rules.

 

Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification of the Entrant, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

 

5.    Prize Description

There is one (1) prize available to be won, as follows:

 

The JCC Prize Pack consists of a 1-year JCC membership and two pairs of tickets (i.e., four (4) tickets) to any 2026 JCC Maccabi Games matches of the winner’s choosing. Approximate retail value of the prize is: C$1,250. If the JCC Prize Pack winner is a minor, he/she must have his/her parent or legal guardian’s consent to accept the prize and sign the prize release on the minor’s behalf. Otherwise, the JCC Prize Pack may be forfeited. Actual retail value may vary depending on the purchase date. The JCC Prize Pack winner is solely responsible for all costs (i.e., shipping charges), incidentals, and expenses not specifically mentioned as being included.

 

All prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equivalent monetary value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Prize will be delivered to verified winner only. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize. Any other costs or expenses associated with the prize not specified herein will be the responsibility of selected winner.

 

 

 

 

 

6.    Winner Selection

 

On or about June 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET, a random draw will be conducted from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period for the purpose of selecting one (1) potential winner (subject to satisfying the prize claim conditions below). Odds of being selected depend on the number of eligible entries received.

 

7.    Selected Entrant Verification and Prize Claim Conditions

 

The selected Entrant will be contacted by the following methods:

1.    If the Entrant is a Fundraiser, via the email/telephone number linked to their personal fundraising page.

2.    If through a No Purchase Entry, via the email/telephone number found on the Essay submitted to the Sponsor

 

In order to be declared a winner, selected Entrant(s) must: (i) respond to notification of selection within five (5) business days of first attempt by Sponsor; (ii) correctly answer the skill testing question on the Release (defined below) without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise; (iii) sign and return to Sponsor, within two (2) business days of it being sent by Sponsor, a written declaration and release form (the “Release”) confirming, without limitation that:

-       They comply with the eligibility requirements;

-       They have read the Official Rules and comply completely;

-       They accept the Prize, as awarded;

-       The comply with an conditions/restrictions that may apply to the Prize;

 

Return of any prize or winner notification as undeliverable, inability to reach selected entrant or failure of selected Entrant to respond to notification within five (5) business days of first attempt by Sponsor or Sponsor’s agent, failure to provide proof of eligibility (if requested), Release, or other required documentation in a timely manner, failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or other non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, selection of an alternate eligible Entrant for the forfeited prize in accordance with these Official Rules, who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner.

 

8.    Right to Void / Terminate / Suspend / Modify

 

Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation if, in Sponsor's sole discretion, any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if the Contest, or any part thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, programming errors, or technical failures, which, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion void any suspect entries and: (a) terminate the Contest, or any portion thereof; (b) modify or suspend the Contest, or any portion thereof, to address the impairment and then resume the Contest, or relevant portion, in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the prizes from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment in accordance with the winner selection criteria discussed above.

 

The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual from the Contest, and/or to revoke, rescind, withhold or otherwise limit or restrict the Prize awarded to a winner, and/or to ban the individual from any future contest of the Sponsor who it finds or believes to be:

a)              tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest;

b)              acting in violation of the Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person;

c)              acting or involved in any situation or occurrence which brings them into public disrepute, contempt, scandal, or ridicule, or which shocks, insults, or offends the community or any group or class thereof, or to offend public morals and decency to or which reflects unfavourably upon the Sponsor, UJA, and each of their respective parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, media partners, advertising and promotional agencies and each of the foregoing entities’ respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, or their respective products or services, as determined in the reasonable discretion of the Sponsor; or

d)              posting or making available to the public any post, picture, video, statement, or any other content of any form on any media (including any social media platform) mentioning, tagging, alluding to, or associating itself in any way with the Contest and/or the Prize which, in the reasonable discretion of the Sponsor, infringes or otherwise violates the rights of the Sponsor, its internal affiliate organizations , and its media partners, advertising and promotional agencies and each of the foregoing entities’ respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns.

 

 

9.    Limitation of Liability and Releases

 

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT SPONSOR AND PROMOTION ENTITIES (“Released Parties”) HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AND HIS/HER REPRESENTATIVES, HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN OR ASSIGNEES (“ENTRANT’S REPRESENTATIVES”) AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM THE CONTEST, INCLUDING THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, OR FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM: A) ENTRY OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST, INCLUDING ACCESS TO AND USE OF A WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTEST, OR B) ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PERSONALITY OR PRIVACY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY. 

 

 

Without limiting the foregoing, Promotion Entities, Sponsor and any of Sponsor’s suppliers or contractors, shall not be responsible for: (a) any incomplete or inaccurate information that is caused by Contest website users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest; (b) lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, service provider, on-line systems, telephone networks or telephone lines, or any other connections; (c) the theft, destruction, loss or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; (d) any problems with, or malfunctions or failures of, telephone networks or lines, computers or computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; (e)garbled transmissions or miscommunications; (f) failure of any e-mail to be received by or from the Contest judges or Sponsor for any reason, including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof or technical incompatibility; (g) damage to a users computer equipment (software or hardware) occasioned by participation or downloading of materials related to this Contest or in connection with any website associated with the Contest; (h) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (i) technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein.

 

10.    Protection Of Personal Information and Publicity Release

 

Sponsor and its authorized agents will collect, use, and disclose the personal information you provide when you enter the Contest for the purposes of administering the Contest and prize fulfillment. By accepting a prize, winner agrees to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, city/province of residence, picture, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness in any advertising and publicity Sponsor and its respective successors, assigns and licensees may conduct relating to the Contest in any media or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice, and hereby releases Sponsor and the Promotion Entities from any liability with respect thereto.

 

11.    General Conditions

 

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned and no correspondence will be made with or entered into except with selected Entrant(s). Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. All entries and prize claims are subject to verification. Proof of entry submission does not constitute proof of receipt. The donation website shall be the official timekeeping device in connection with this Contest. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Decisions of Sponsor and/or any independent Contest judging organization will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a conflict between these Official Rules and any instructions or interpretations of these Official Rules given by an employee of the Sponsor regarding the Contest, these Official Rules shall prevail. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Official Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate or necessary to comply with applicable law. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner may be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her prize, or the cash value thereof. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

 

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the person who submitted any entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at registration or in Sponsor’s records will be deemed to be the Entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an access provider, service provider, or other person or organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the account associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
